Welcome to the Beaver Volunteer Fire Department

5krace splashThe Beaver Volunteer Fire Department, with its invaluable goal “to serve and protect the property and people of this community,” was established in 1836.

The Borough of Beaver, Pennsylvania, situated on a plateau near the confluence of the Beaver and Ohio Rivers, is roughly 35 miles NW of Pittsburgh, PA and serves as the seat of Beaver County.

Strategically located in the center of town, Station 101 runs three trucks and has 30 firefighters, all volunteers, covering five square miles. BVFD takes great pride in helping to protect our community’s 4800 residents, dozens of businesses, many historic homes and sprawling County Courthouse.

Thanks to runners like you, our annual race has grown to be Beaver County’s largest and most popular race event, using a scenic route through the historic neighborhoods of Beaver PA.

New for 2013 – Youth T-Shirts and a redesigned start! We will introduce a staggered start format to help our 10K runners get a faster and safer start.

We are also increasing the number of comfort stations to avoid the long lines.
