July 13, 2008 -The Borough held it's 10th Annual Community Day Picnic in Shaw Park. BVFD was on hand to talk to the public, answer questions, give demonstrations on gear and equipment and to enjoy an afternoon of free food, music, games and Zambelli fireworks! 	On May 20, 2008 our monthly drill took us "over the hill" to practice fire fighting tactics on an actual car. CLICK ON THE ABOVE IMAGE TO VIEW THE VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
		The Beaver Volunteer Fire Department took advantage of a house being slated for demolition. Venting, salvage and master streams were just a few of the subjects covered. Special thanks to John McLaughlin from Bovard Anderson for the opportunity to use the house. Training like this is invaluable, the chances to practice on a real house are few and far between.
